Mermaid Folklore Art Print

A beautiful folklore inspired art print of a drawing of a freshwater mermaid reaching up from her pool. Iconic year round, this print works especially well for those wanting a dark fairytale themed gallery wall.

An archive quality print of my original charcoal pencil artwork 'Scavengers', originally created as an illustration for gothic horror anthology Tales in Sombre Tones with author Sean Walter, also available in paperback in my shop.

Inspired by legends of freshwater mermaids who tend to be a little more, er, carnivorous than their ocean going sisters, I created the scene from photographs I took of Loe Pool in Cornwall - a freshwater pool surrounded by trees, separated from the sea by a single sandbar.

Printed on archive quality paper with a very slight texture to recreate the fine art paper of the original. 

Small option : Print size A5 with a white A4 mount, in a modern black frame - just nicely book page size! Medium option : Print size A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) with a white A3 (42cm x 29.7cm) mount, in a modern black frame.

Framed in eco friendly mdf, made from recycled waste wood, with acrylic glazing so it is safe to ship, and has hanging fixtures fitted.
