Saltwick Bay Shipwreck Drawing Print

Seascape print of Saltwick Bay near Whitby, featuring the shipwreck of the Admiral van Tromp and the imposing Black Nab, from my original drawing. One of my favourite places when I lived on that bit of the coast - I used to regularly walk over the headland to spend some time hunting golden ammonites embedded in the black shale. It was never the same view twice - the slightest change in the weather transformed the whole bay. On this particular occasion, the shale bed was drying out, changing from a deep black to a silvery tone, the dried sea salt leaving white marbling. So beautiful, and I knew this had to be statement piece.

The original drawing was done on Fabriano Artistico paper using both charcoal pencil and carbon pencil. This has been faithfully reproduced on Hahnemuhle paper using archive quality inks by a specialist fine art printer.
 
This print is available unframed in two sizes - full size large prints to match the original and a small version for those needing a daintier version. Frames are available in oak or sleek black, made from sustainably sourced wood with acrylic glazing so they are safe to post. 
 
Sizes - small approx 12" x 18", large approx 22" x 30" (the frame adds a little)
