Reflections 2 'Light in the Darkness'.
A series of charcoal pencil drawings worked from my own original photographs. A follow up to my 2023 collection 'Reflections' in which single droplets were studied in isolation, I wanted to explore the impact of these luminous mini worlds suspended in their shadowy surroundings. In addition to mini drawings with a single main droplet, I also created four larger pieces with a whole constellation - each reflecting the same subject but each utterly unique.
Each mini droplet drawing is 4" square, the larger multi droplet drawings are 8" square.
The originals were on show at Newcastle Central Library in October, from Friday the 10th to Wednesday the 15th.
Some of the originals have their own individual dedications from their new owners to loved ones, or messages which you can read as you flip through.
On behalf of my print collectors, I am also honoured to share the following :
For Ecaterina Oranciuc
For Belinda, with love xxx
In loving memory of John Thimbleby
For Zoe, whose health means she can't visit galleries and exhibitions as she used to.
For Katherine Chen and Olivia Pope Kang.
Project supported in memory of Barabara Ford.
