Charcoal study of Black Nab, near Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. Featuring some genuine Yorkshire weather :) Part of my fascination with the local landscape is how it changes with the weather - in this case, softening the imposing Black Nab and bringing the foreground textures into sharp focus. The strips of bright water and black rock/dark seaweed provide balance.

Worked in charcoal pencil on watercolour paper.

Framed in oak with acrylic glazing so safe to ship. Drawing size 6" x 6", frame size 8" x 8" (approx 20cm)
