Before I moved to my current home in Newcastle, I lived in Whitby for almost 8 years. When the building I was living in was sold, I did a quick series of local landscapes to help fund my relocation to the city. These were two of my favourite pieces from that collection and I decided to turn them into mini prints to share my love of my former home.​

There's something special about that place - a sense of calm and being slightly outside of time, even on the busiest days. I chose two especially unique moments - standing on the sands inside the harbour in the snow, and sunset behind the abbey on the summer solstice, to reflect that balance.
